Listen to the beat of the Heart of the Witch
I Am With You. The Earth Speaks to Us
The Earth is alive. We've heard this a lot before, and somehow we believe it - more or less. But what if the Earth would not only be somehow alive, but a utterly conscious, a sentient and thinking being like you and me?
Ha Prayer for Soul Alignment
Here's an awesome offer: The Ha Prayer for Soul Alignment - a core exercise in the Feri Tradition. Now available as a guided meditation.
Beltane Gathering / Germany
This year Heart of the Witch will be celebrating Beltane together with the folks of the Rabenclan, a German pagan interest group. Will you join us?
What - ME scary??
A while ago something happened to me at work. I was called into my superior's office and it turned out people had complained about my work behind my back. Being totally unaware that I had allegedly made so many mistakes, I asked him why nobody had mentioned this to me before - and got the answer that people didn't dare to tell me because I would verbally blow them away.....
Treasures of the Fey
The Fey... the word still has a touch of escapism and eccentric naivety. For me it has a very different meaning. I had not thought about the Fey or their realm for a long time, until I encountered them again in the forest during my visionquest two years ago. It's not that I was overly surprised - it was more of a familiar recollection of earlier days in my childhood, of forgotten walks among the trees and wild adventures in the little creek behing the house where I had played so often.
Our Glastonbury Imbolc Adventure
During the week before Imbolc I read a few discussions on assorted social networking pages about the imbalance in the way many pagans celebrate our wheel of the year festivals - that for most the emphasis is on Yule, Beltane and Samhain. For myself, Imbolc has always been "the" festival to celebrate. Imbolc was the first ritual our newly formed Uni pagan society came together to celebrate.
Spellwork: Cunningly Causing Coincidence
One of my favorite quotes is: "Magic is the art of causing coincidence" - Chris McIntosh quoted in Freya Aswynn's "Northern Mysteries and Magick”
Last night I had a fascinating conversation with a dear friend and student, which covered many topics including spell work. We discussed things like: where did my knowledge of spells come from, what spells are, and how do we create them.
Expanding your magical powerhouse
Since I read I am an inspiration to some of my guild members a couple of days ago I felt the need to write this blog and maybe inspire some more people. So - what did I do to inspire them? It's the regime of running and physical exercise I have been following since last year, and the results that have been generated.
What happened, what changed? A certain teacher I am training with always stresses the importance of physical exercise while doing spiritual work, and I always agreed with that. The whole "healthy mind in a healthy body" idea always resonated with me so I always did some exercise. It varied from sports, to just cycling and dog walking.
